Today about 5:50 Prime Minister Harper will make a statement on national television concerning Afghanistan. Perhaps he will make the case for Canada’s military intervention in that country, a case that he and his government failed to make during the pathetic debate some months ago in the House on this question. The situation in southern Afghanistan is getting deadlier by the minute. What is it exactly that we are trying to do over there. Are we killing the enemy or are we enraging the ordinary citizens? Some hard questions need to be answered.
