Last July Michael Ignatieff said in an interview that he did not lose any sleep when Israeli bombers killed Lebanese civilians. Last Sunday night on Radio Canada the same Ignatieff said Israeli bombing of Lebanese civilians was a war crime.

Does this man deserve to be liberal leader and a future prime minister?

    SUZANNE Says:

I’m not keen on him. Basically, he makes me think he’s the Second Coming of Trudeau.

    Paul Geraghty Says:

Since when did talking out of both sides of your mouth disqualify anyone from being Prime Minister?

  3. 3

    Touchez Paul.

I agree with Suzanne that many think Ignatieff is the second coming of Trudeau.

Would you a agree that Trudeau was a decisive leader and a devout practising Catholic?

    SUZANNE Says:

Well, the latest on Trudeau is that he stopped being chaste in the fifties (according to a reporti in the National Post) and pretty much stopped being obedient to the Magisterium.

His Catholicism was fairly superficial. It’s not enough to attend Mass.

    Barbara Says:

Praise be that God sees deeper than any biographer into our hearts! I make no judgement on Trudeau. I don’t know if being nonjudgemental is part of the Magisterium or not, but it is something we are challenged to be in the Gospel. We all struggle for the conversion to which we are called by Christ. Only God can appreciate how hard we struggle. Let’s leave all our judgements to the mercy of God, shall we?
