OPRAH

Articles are popping up all over the place about whether Oprah Winfrey should publicly support Senator Barach Obama’s bid for the presidency.  She has already made it clear she admires him.  She has 30 million listeners daily.  She has enormous influence over suburbanites where the crucial votes are.  There is a rumour that Obama will announce his run on Feb. 10 on Oprah’s show.  Some commentators think that if Oprah really gets behind the Senator, Hilary will be toast, and Obama will have it in the bag?  Should Oprah lead the Obama band wagon?

Why not? It would be better than the interests that led the Bush/Cheney bandwagon.

Sure. I agree with Paul. Let Oprah lead the charge.
I don’t think, however, it would be wise for Obama to use her show as the platform to announce his candidacy.

I just finished commenting on Neil’s “Hand of God” blog.I feel distraught.
Anyhow, let’s get to the left hand –
I’d like to see Hill and Obam run as a team. On the other hand if Hill is elected president and Obam VP, she might be assassinated by rightous blacks who will do the dirty deed because of the indignities of the past. “Now we are even” Right?
If Obam is Pres, he might be assassinated by the rednecks, but not by a female. God forbid that a female would do it because that would mean a woman would take over and they can’t have that can they? Remember the Ferraro? The mayority of the women voted against her when she ran on the Mondale ticket as VP because ?????. Remember the priest with the thumb? Was it he who gave her thumbs down because she was a pro-choice Catholic.
But wait, remember when Salome’s family was in power and she used that power to ask for John the Baptist’s
head? A woman in power hmmm? Maybe that’s why I’m distraught, one of the blog ladies will be coming after my head.

    Barbara:-
I don’t smoke therefor I can see very well. However, my sweetie once said that behind every man is a woman rolling her eyes. I think she was looking at me when she said that.
